Announcing our 2025 Impact Report
2025 has been a long year – and it’s brought unimaginable challenges to our region and the communities we serve. Despite these obstacles, our team at Inclusive Action has persevered and risen to meet the moment with programs, initiatives, and advocacy that center economic justice – and the needs of working people, immigrant entrepreneurs, and small business owners in underserved communities.
We’re proud to share our 2025 Impact Report that documents all of the work we’ve done this year – from crisis response to lending programs, advocacy to real estate.
In just the first week of the year, LA County was devastated by wildfires – an unprecedented climate disaster that decimated entire communities, and impacted countless workers and businesses. In the summer, our region was struck again by crisis – with masked agents violently kidnapping community members. To this day, these abductions are only intensifying – ripping families apart, and devastating our local economy.
It hasn’t been easy this year – but I’m incredibly proud of how our team has responded to these crises. We’ve mobilized to lead the most wide-reaching mutual aid efforts in the history of this organization. As you’ll see in the report, we deployed over $3.2 million in cash assistance to more than 6,000 open-air workers and street vendors, and grants to 30 fire-impacted small businesses.
We also keep our core services and programs running – providing small business loans, skills-building workshops, and technical assistance that help entrepreneurs in marginalized communities reach for their dreams. It was a really difficult year for small businesses – but we’re proud that as of December 5, we have distributed $900,00 in low-interest loans to 50 small businesses who are ready for investment and growth. Through our programs and workshops, we’ve reached 1,300 small businesses with our support.
This year’s unique challenges have required us to think beyond “business as usual” and use all the tools at our disposal to protect the communities we serve. We passed a landmark law that protects street vendors across California from violent immigration raids, and we sued the Trump Administration to block their efforts to seize immigrant taxpayers’ private data as a part of their deportation machine.
We’ve done so much this year. Our 2025 impact report provides an opportunity for connection – for us to share with our community what we’ve been working on, and to weave together all the pieces of our economic justice agenda.
