Catering Cohorts
Our Catering Curriculum Cohort is a three-month, capacity-building program – offered in English and Spanish – designed to support the growth of small food business owners, including street vendors, restaurants, and catering businesses. This program serves participants who are small business loan clients of Inclusive Action.

The program was developed to address common barriers faced by under-resourced entrepreneurs, with a focus on strengthening digital tools, improving operations, and increasing business visibility. Participants engage in interactive workshops covering topics such as catering operations and equipment, digital payment and invoicing, business branding, and an overview of the permits and licenses required to operate.
The program provides one-on-one technical assistance and hands-on training to ensure businesses can implement tools and knowledge in real time. By the end of the cohort, businesses are fully onboarded to the digital payment platform, Square. They report increased sales, improved customer retention, and access to new catering and vending opportunities.
The Catering Curriculum is a critical step toward economic inclusion, business sustainability, and long-term success for food entrepreneurs in Los Angeles County.
