LA Fires Emergency Fund

During the wildfires in Los Angeles County in January 2025, Inclusive Action launched our Open Air Worker Emergency Fund to help outdoor workers – street vendors, landscapers, and recyclers – impacted by the fires.

Through this fund, Inclusive Action distributed one-time cash assistance support of $500 to impacted outdoor workers who lost income, property or belongings because of the wildfires. Through this fund, we were able to distribute cash assistance to 5,157 impacted outdoor workers — totaling more than $2.5 million distributed.

This program concluded in April 2025 and applications for the Open Air Worker Emergency Fund have closed.

We have shifted to focus on longer-term recovery efforts and will continue to advocate for the resources and policies our communities need for an equitable recovery from the fires.
