Loan Administration Specialist (part-time)

Position Overview
Inclusive Action is seeking a Loan Specialist (part-time) to support Inclusive Action’s Access to Capital initiatives with a focus on supporting loan applicants during the loan application and closing stages. The specialist will work with applicants by making sure they have the necessary documents to apply before the underwriting team begins their financial analysis. It will also produce loan closing contracts and support applicants whose loans have been approved through the closing process.
This position requires an energetic individual with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail who is excited to work with a wide range of community members. The Specialist is an hourly, part-time (28 hours/week), temporary position for 6 months, with the opportunity to extend for an additional 5 months.
The Loan Specialistwill report to the Senior Underwriter Associate and work closely with the rest of the Access to Capital Team and other IAC staff as necessary.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Loan Closing & Documentation
Prepare, review, and deliver loan closing contracts, including promissory notes, loan agreements, and state- guaranteed documents.
Coordinate with approved borrowers to complete the closing package and ensure all required documentation is collected.
Coordinate with the Finance Team to collect applicable loan fees and execute final disbursement procedures.
Ensure loan files are accurately documented and compliant with CDFI, state, and internal lending policies.
Maintain clear communication with borrowers regarding closing conditions and timelines.
Coordinate with the underwriting team on approved borrower statuses.
Semi’a Fund Administration
Organize and maintain accurate loan files (electronic and hardcopies) for compliance and audit purposes.
Support the loan pipeline process, tracking applicant progress and follow-ups.
Support Semi’a loan applicants through the application process, including but not limited to: explaining IAC’s products and services, helping complete loan applications, and supporting applicants with document collection.
Other Responsibilities
Maintain and update Asana of interested clients, ensuring timely follow-ups and connections to relevant programs.
Provide referrals to additional IAC programs and services, including financial coaching and small business support.
Support the cultivation of a creative, productive environment with the Inclusive Action staff and its partners.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
At least one year of experience in case management, customer service, client relations, data systems management, or business services;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Strong time management skills;
Detail oriented;
Comfortable with Google suite and Asana
Ability to work in hyper-collaborative settings;
High emotional intelligence and ability to communicate clearly and thoughtfully with impacted residents, team members;
Service-oriented with an ability to respond to clients in a calm, empathetic, and professional manner while courteously directing the conversation to the pertinent issues;
Spanish and English verbal and written fluency;
Positive, upbeat attitude that supports Inclusive Action staff and its organizational partners; and,
Commitment to Inclusive Action’s mission.
Compensation
The expected salary is $30/hour, dependent on experience, for 6 months with an option to extend for an additional 5 months.

Hybrid Work Schedule
Currently the Inclusive Action team is working in person at the office 40% of the time and remotely 60% of the time. The physical office is located in Boyle Heights and is available for necessary in-person appointments as well as its work space. All applicants are expected to live in Los Angeles County.
