Open Air Worker Emergency Fund
During the ongoing wildfire emergency in Los Angeles County, Inclusive Action launched our emergency fund to help outdoor workers – street vendors, landscapers, and recyclers – impacted by the fires.
Through this fund, Inclusive Action has been distributing one-time cash assistance support of $500 to impacted outdoor workers.
Applications for the Open Air Worker Emergency Fund have closed, however, you can view archived information about our program eligibility at the bottom of this page.
UPDATE as of February 28, 2025: We have raised enough money to help over 4,600 outdoor workers and will continue distributing cash cards in the month of March and until all funds have been expended.
We have closed our GoFundMe donation site as we shift to focus on longer-term recovery efforts. We will continue to advocate for the resources and policies our communities need for an equitable recovery from the fires.
While we’ve closed donations for the fund, institutional funders who are interested in supporting our work can reach out to us at development@inclusiveaction.org.
To be eligible for funding, community members must meet all of the following qualifications:
Live or work in areas directly impacted by the fires
Primarily work outdoors, (e.g. as a street vendor, landscape worker, recycler, etc.)
Have experienced a loss of income/property/belongings due to fires
We will prioritize community members who experienced direct losses due to the fire. For more information, check out our Frequently Asked Questions.
